Meet the key members of the team at Outcomes UK

Paul Riley - Managing Director

Paul is the Managing Director of Outcomes UK. Paul joined Outcomes UK in 2004, initially as Business Director. He has responsibility for the management and commercial development of the company. Paul graduated in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College and has since developed a range of strategic planning, commercial, and supply chain experience and expertise across the energy, construction, facilities management, health and social care sectors.

Paul's experience is used to support the development of innovative solutions for clients and mobilise appropriate partnerships for their delivery. Paul is also a Non-Executive Director of an NHS Foundation Trust.

Paul McCormack - Resourcing Director (Private, Voluntary and Independent sectors) 

Paul is an experienced sales and business developer with an established background in the Health and Social Care sectors. In his early career he experienced sales as a national account manager in the manufacturing industry – this gave him first hand experience of managing large scale customer accounts with many high profile clients and the management of a large team. His 12-year career in recruitment for temporary and permanent staff has included time in sales, marketing, finance and operational sectors before becoming a specialist in Health and Social Care.

Paul previously acted as an area manager for a healthcare recruitment business, working closely with a range of Health and Social Care clients including the NHS. He is close to the safeguarding and legislative requirements in those sectors as a result and well as the differing types of contractual arrangements that exist to service this challenging client group.  

Laura Mullane - Resourcing Director

Laura runs the Resourcing Division of Outcomes UK. Laura graduated in 2000 with a degree in English Literature and French, before going on to complete her CIPD. Before joining Outcomes UK, Laura was a Human Resources and Recruitment Manager for a large Independent Fostering Agency, and prior to this she worked at a large private sector healthcare company. This experience is complemented by a Human Resources role previously held at Birmingham Social Services, where she led a small team responsible for developing innovative recruitment and staff development initiatives.

Laura set up the Outcomes UK Resourcing Division in 2005 and has grown a successful team of consultants who have an in-depth understanding of Health and Social Care across Adult and Children's Services. Responsible for business development in Outcomes UK, Laura is well networked and placed to identify client’s needs thus developing a fruitful and effective partnership way of working.

Nick Raper – Senior Consultant 

Nick has post graduate qualifications in HR, Employment Law, Occupational Psychology and Occupational Safety & Health and is a member of the CIPD. His early career was in HR Management within the manufacturing and automotive sectors. He has over 15 years’ experience in executive search and assessment consultancy, conducting a range of senior search and selection assignments for a mix of public and private sector clients.

In recent years Nick has worked for a variety of clients in local government, central government, the NHS, housing and the probation service, helping them to recruit into a range of Chief Executive, Director, Assistant Director, Non-Executive and Head of Service roles and has specialised in senior Health and Social Care appointments.

Nick’s experience in helping organisations to recruit senior Adult’s and Children’s Services professionals and leaders, combined with Outcomes UK’s existing expertise and relationships in this sector enable OUK to offer clients a unique and exciting service proposition.

Sue Jeffreys - Senior Recruitment Consultant - North West

Sue joined the team in 2008; she is an experienced Manager and Consultant with over 10 years’ recruitment experience. Sue has supplied a wide range of Social Work and Social Care staff to both Statutory and Independent organisations throughout the UK. Sue has successfully set up Social Care agencies to place QSW's through to Service Managers and Director level. She also leads on placing QSW's into service improvement contract teams and interim managers across the UK.

Sarah Kay - Senior Recruitment Consultant (Scotland and North East)

Sarah joined Outcomes UK in 2009, bringing 12 years of recruitment experience in the Scottish Market. She is based in Edinburgh and manages all Social Work and Interim Management Contracts in Scotland and North West England. With a deep understanding of the Social Work market, Sarah is aware of our client and candidate needs and is able to offer support and advice on both sides. She is fully abreast of Local Authority needs and has in depth knowledge a range of contacts across the sector.

Jade Alsop - Recruitment Consultant – Children and Adult Services (South and East England, Greater London)

Jade previously worked as a business analyst and financial controller for a recruitment company within the social care sector. This provided a sound basing of knowledge of the sector for when Jade joined Outcomes UK in 2010. Since joining the company, Jade has launched the Adults Services Division within Outcomes UK, which spans the country. Alongside this, Jade hopes to complete her MBA with Open University in Business studies.

Zoe Little - Senior Recruitment Consultant (Midlands & Wales)

Zoe joined the team in 2009. She has over 10 years’ recruitment experience and has a vast knowledge of account managing large contracts. Zoe currently manages all social work service improvement and interim management contracts in the Midlands. Zoe has an in depth knowledge of the local authorities in the Midlands area and is keen to offer support both to client and candidates

Charlotte Leigh - Senior Recruitment Consultant – Private and Voluntary Organisations and Health care (England & Wales)

Charlotte joined the team in 2009, having worked in recruitment since she graduated from Brighton University in 2000 with a BA Honours in Business Studies. With her in depth knowledge of the Health and Social care sector, Charlotte now works across the UK, resourcing professionals to Private and Voluntary organisations across both Children’s and Adult Social and Health Care Sectors and also to the NHS.

Jennie Lees - Senior Recruitment Consultant - Private and Voluntary Organisations and Health care (England & Wales)

Jennie joined the team in 2007; she is an experienced Consultant with 9 years recruitment experience. Jennie has supplied a wide range of Social Work and Social Care staff to both Statutory and Independent organisations. Jennie has experience of Account Managing large contracts and also of running recruitment campaigns for Private and Voluntary organisations. She has previously led on placing Interim Managers and Social Work Teams in the Midlands. With her in depth knowledge of the Private and Voluntary Sector, Jennie has also worked across the UK resourcing professionals to such organisations - from Frontline Practitioners to Senior Managers. Jennie is currently on maternity leave and will return as Recruitment Consultant in January 2012.

Janice Struthers – Safeguarding Manager

Janice has been a qualified social worker since July 1997. Her experience is based within Children’s and Families social work. She joined Outcomes as an associate in January 2009 and has gained experience within various project teams. In March 2010 Janice joined the OUK team as Safeguarding Manager to provide support and quality assurance to ongoing projects and individual associates nationwide.
