Background information
A consultancy contract was initiated to provide strategic improvement through building capacity in the organisation to complete this specific project.
Purpose
To work with the project team to develop, consult, write and publish a Behaviour and Attendance strategy, informed by research on the best practice across the country.
Aims and Objectives:
- To publish an agreed and high quality strategy, owned by all stakeholders
- To lead the process of engagement and consultation across the Local Authority
- To research and use best practice examples from within the Local Authority and nationally to inform and challenge the development of a strategy

Activities delivered:
A team of 3 consultants with diverse operational and strategic expertise completed the project in a total of 20 days. The work was completed within a timeframe of 4 months, in line with the Council’s decision making process and national legislation requirements.
