Paul Riley - Managing Director
Paul is the Managing Director of OUK and joined in 2004 as Business Director. He has responsibility for the management and commercial development of the company. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College. Paul has since developed a range of strategic planning, commercial, and supply chain experience and expertise across the energy, construction, facilities management, health and social care sectors. This experience is used to support the development of innovative solutions for clients and mobilise appropriate partnerships for their delivery.
Sarah Baker - Director of Consultancy & Operational Support
Sarah is an experienced consultant who joined Outcomes UK in 2006 following 28 years service in the NHS. Sarah moved into health services management where latterly she was an Executive Director in a Primary Care Trust. She developed an expertise in safeguarding working across health, social care and education boundaries in the pursuit of improving outcomes for children. Sarah leads the development of health contracts for Outcomes UK and works with Primary Care Trust’s to support service transformation within and across local partner boundaries and undertakes fit for purpose reviews in line with World Class Commissioning.
Laura Mullane - Resourcing Director
Laura graduated in 2000 with a degree in English Literature and French, she then went on to complete her CIPD and now runs the Resourcing Division of OUK. Before joining OUK she was a HR and Recruitment Manager for a large Independent Fostering Agency and prior to this she worked at a large private sector healthcare company. This experience is complemented by a HR role previously held at Birmingham Social Services where she led a small team responsible for developing innovative recruitment and staff development initiatives. Laura set up the OUK Resourcing Division in 2005 and has grown a successful team of consultants who have an in depth understanding of the recruitment landscape in Children's Services. She has management oversight of all resourcing contracts and ensures that the quality of work is second to none.
Sharon Penzer - Children and Learners Manager
Sharon has a wide range of experience working with children and families, fostering, training and educational environments. She holds a BA in Post compulsory education as well as a Cert Ed in further and higher education. Sharon has worked at a number of Colleges managing health, social care and childcare sections. She was also one of the first foster carers in Birmingham to achieve her NVQ level 3 in foster care in 1996.
Vernal Cooper - Independent Social Worker Services Manager
Vernal has over 24 years experience in Children and Families Social Work, having worked as a Qualified Social Worker in both residential, fieldwork and for the last ten years worked as a Children’s Guardian working on some complex Care Proceedings cases. Appointed to the role of Independent Social Work Manager in February 2009, Vernal is now responsible for Quality Assurance, Supervision of Independent Social Workers and overseeing Contracts for independent Social Work Services.
Jennie Lees - Senior Recruitment Consultant - Midlands
Jennie joined the team in 2007; she is an experienced Consultant with 9 years recruitment experience. She has supplied a wide range of Social Work and Social Care staff to both Statutory and Independent organisations. Jennie has experience of Account Managing large contracts and also of running recruitment campaigns for Private and Voluntary organisations. She has previously led on placing Interim Managers and Social Work Teams in the Midlands. With her in depth knowledge of the Private and Voluntary Sector, Jennie now works across the UK resourcing professionals to such organisations - from frontline to Senior Managers.
Sue Jeffreys - Senior Recruitment Consultant - North England
Sue joined the team in 2008; she is an experienced Manager and Consultant with over 10 year's recruitment experience. She has supplied a wide range of Social Work and Social Care staff to both Statutory and Independent organisations throughout the UK. Sue has successfully set up Social Care agencies to place QSW's through to Service Managers and Director level. She currently leads on placing QSW's into service improvement contract teams and interim managers accross the UK.
Sarah Bingham – Senior Recruitment Consultant – London and South England
Sarah joined OUK in 2005 bringing with her experience in Recruitment. She currently manages the Foster Carer Recruitment Contracts for clients, ensuring that assessors and consultants are recruited in a timely manner. Sarah also holds responsibility for the recruitment of Children's Guardians. She specialises in recruiting Social Work Professionals in geographically 'sparse' areas.
Sarah Kay - Senior Recruitment Consultant - Scotland
Sarah joined Sarah joined Outcomes UK in 2009, bringing with her an abundance of recruitment experience in the Scottish Market. She is based in Edinburgh and manages all Social Work and Interim Management Contracts in Scotland. With a deep understanding of the Scottish Social Work market, Sarah is aware of our client and candidate needs and is able to offer support and advice on both sides. She is fully abreast of Local Authority needs and has in depth knowledge a range of contacts across the sector.
Adam Strand - Training and Education Co-Ordinator
Adam graduated in 2006 from Coventry University with a Business and IT honours degree. He entered into IT recruitment after university, followed by a career in sales management. In 2007, Adam joined Outcomes UK as a Business Support Co-ordinator and has recently been promoted to Training and Education Co-ordinator. In this role Adam account manages a contract OUK has recently secured with Scottish Power and is the key contact for all early years training.
Charlotte Leigh – Senior Recruiter - Health
Charlotte joined the team in 2009 having worked in recruitment since she graduated from Brighton University in 2000 with a BA Honours in Business Studies Degree. With her in depth knowledge of the Health Care sector, Charlotte now works across the UK resourcing professionals to such organisations from PCT’s, Local Authorities, Mental Health Trusts, special and Strategic Health Authorities and Care Trusts.
Zoe Little – Senior Recruitment Consultant
Zoe joined the team in 2009, she has over 10 years recruitment experience and has a vast knowledge of account managing large contracts. She currently manages all social work service improvement and interim management contracts in the Midlands. Zoe has an in depth knowledge of the local authorities in the Midlands area and is keen to offer support both to client and candidates.
Jill Murray – Senior Recruitment Consultant
Jill joined Outcomes in 2010 as an experienced Recruitment Manager. Jill has set up new recruitment branches and worked in resourcing business development since she graduated with a Business & Marketing degree in 2002. As our Senior Consultant for the North East, Yorkshire & Humberside regions, Jill resources management & senior roles, including DCS, AD & Heads of Service, interims and project teams for local authorities children’s services across the region.
Jade Worster – Recruitment Consultant
Jade previously worked as a business analyst and financial controller for a recruitment company within the social care sector, giving her a good knowledge of the sector for when she joined OUK in 2010. Since she started she has launched the Adults Services Division within Outcomes UK, which spans the country. Alongside this Jade hopes to complete her MBA with OU in Business studies.
